You can restore your Huawei Ascend to its factory settings using the volume and power buttons.
How it works
If you’re unable to access the settings menu of your Huawei Ascend G300, you can use the volume and power buttons to restore it to its factory settings
This reset method is especially useful if your phone continually freezes or fails to respond or you’ve forgotten the security locks you’ve set up to access the phone
Restoring your Huawei Ascend G300 to factory settings will wipe all phone data from your phone
The factory settings reset won’t delete data saved to your SIM card
Step-by-step guide
Step 1Remove and replace the phone’s battery.
Step 2
Hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously.
When you see the Huawei logo appear, release the power button but continue to hold the Volume Up button until your see the Android logo, then release.
This will access the blue unlock/reset menu.
Step 3Once you’ve reached the unlock/reset menu, scroll down, using the volume buttons, and select ‘wipe data/factory reset’ by pushing the power button.
Step 4When prompted, scroll down and select ‘Yes — delete all user data’. This may take a few moments.
Step 5When prompted select ‘reboot system now’.
Your phone will then reboot to its factory settings, with all security locks removed.
